Game Day was so much fun!!


















Last Friday we had game time at the end of the day.  It was the first time since school started where we just played!!!!  It was such a good feeling to just be with the students and play.  We laughed a lot!!!!

Upcoming tests

Hello everyone:   We have several upcoming tests.

 Chapter 1 Social studies will be next Tuesday October 30th.  It will be on the vocabulary study guide that I will send home along with knowing where each landform is located.  This map will come home for homework on Thursday and sent back home Friday for home study.  Any questions please email me. 


We will also be having a Chapter 2 test on two, three and 4 digit addition next Thursday or Friday.  It will also include estimation and exact answer questions as well. 


Science Chapter 9 Test for Rocks and minerals will be sometime in November.  I will send home a complete study guide as the test approaches. 

Can I have a pet?



















PET ROCK THAT IS!!!  We are having so much fun presenting our pet rock projects.  I am amazed by how unique each one is.  So far we have only one rock that sunk.  Celine found it on the beach!  Enjoy the pictures!!!!

Chapter 9 Science Vocabulary Quiz 10/24 Wed

Hi Everyone:  Below are the vocabulary words for our quiz next Wednesday.  Under the link Science/Social Studies on this blog is the study guide for the chapter.  We will have a test on the entire chapter in a few weeks.  I will keep you all posted.

Decay- to slowly break down or rot

Humus-the decayed matter in soil

Nutrient-a material that plants and animals need to live and grow.

Clay Soil-tightly packed soil with tiny grains. (holds water)

Sandy Soil-loose soil with large grains.  Has Few Nutrients(does not hold water)

Loam-is good planting soil that is a mixture of clay, sand and humus.

Ores-a rock that is rich in useful minerals.

Natural Resources-Something people use that comes from the earth.  Example:  Minerals and soil are natural resources
